Thread: We are moving to new private server!

Hi,

Currently I'm configuring new server and if I will be done today,
we will move to new private server.
So forum will not work for a few hours.

You have few more minutes then I will close the forum untill DNS records are propagated.

Little update:
Forum is now on new private server and generally all is up and running , but there are few things that are still not working and needs to be configured.
One of that things is IMT Directory Submitter.
So I will report here when this issue is resolved or when I have some news.

Glad to see the Forum back up! Congratulations on the successful move, although from some of the messages through the day it seemed like the ride may have been more like an Isuzu truck than your beamer. I have only moved very simple sites (two sites one time only from ISP space to paid hosting space). It can be an adventure!

Uhh, this was real nightmare, I have managed to setup 2 private servers last 2-3 days, one for this forum and one for my other business.
They where without anything on them, so I have to do all installs and configuration my head is like a fuc**** balloon

Update:
IMT Diectory Submitter is working again

Just a little more tweeks and this is move is done.

Yes now is much faster, for example just a node and port speed are about 30-50 times faster than old node.
CPU and loading times are now at idle, where on old server CPU was always at 50% and more, loading times where very high also, sometimes that high that all site was unresponsive.

Nice to hear that. So this was the reason when IMT was not loading

Yahoo mails won't work with this board, until yahoo add this forum IP to their database.
So if you want to register here, don't use yahoo mail,
because you will not receive registration email (or any email) from this forum, until our IP is accepted in yahoo mail registar.

Also please report here if you have experience any other technical problems with this website.

good idea writing now...

I have optimized some sql queries and reduced cpu and server load avarage by 7-9 times.
This resulted in increasing forum loading speed by 5 times

I read this thread from the first post, I can imagine how hard you work and effort for this forum.

Yahoo emails are working again with this forum, forum IP is accepted in yahoo email registar
