If you are using MacBook there is one good graphic program - PixelMator. It costs something about $30 in Mac App Store and looks very cool!

I have picassa, not too sure why it would be better than photoshop, which I have as well. Give us your input as to why it would be better?

I think GIMP is the best Alternative for Photoshop. It has most of Phtoshop features even though it's bit hard to learn. But it's free so learning part shouldn't be a problem. Corel Draw is a desktop publishing software. Not great for photographers or wen designers. Also it's quite expensive too.

for me, the only good one is still photoshop, because of my work. But i agree, Gimp is good for normal work like small designs ect.. but for profesional work you can not go around photoshop. It is the same with Microsoft office Word and Quarkexpress. Some people write on Word they book and want to puplish it, but when it comes to print, the very big isuses are coming with Word, because of the Color Scheme, size, standard file type ect... So if you make sometimes small designs than Gimp and other are fine, but if you work main with that designs than you can not go around the leader programs

I've seen my friends use Gimp for some small editings, but when it comes to making massive and flawless editing, Photoshop is reliable. Pixlar and monkeypic are also some of the editing softwares, but I didn't find them much useful because they have limited options.

True nothing can match the power of Photoshop but it's way too expensive for personal use. Even for small businesses. So GIMP is the only good alternative. Also Linux users can't use Photoshop. I think GIMP is multi platform.

No coral draw, is not equal to Photoshop. Because Photoshop provides a more application and simple in use.

Most of software developers can use gimp instead of photoshop because of it's complexity.
