Thread: YouTube VS Vimeo and other video services

Hey guys. We all know that YouTube is one of the best video streaming/sharing services around, but there's so many other services out there worth using, one major one that comes to mind is Vimeo, which seems to be garnered for the more artistic minds out there. I'm not saying YouTube doesn't have artistic people, it just seems most videos on vimeo are artistic style videos and music.

So, what video streaming site do you think is the best out there? YouTube? Vimeo? Other?

Youtube is old and has a lot of video. vemio is new and dont have too much data on it. vemio have really good and quality videos.

Vimeo has more strict limitations if your video is for commercial purposes. They want you to buy the upgraded version. Youtube does not force this issue as they have advertising right in their videos.

i also like dailymotion.com but im not using it as much as i use youtube

I think YouTube has much more traffic. So if you want lots and lots of eyeballs on your video I would choose YouTube. I know a few of my friends that use Vimeo to upload videos and then they embed them on their sites. Vimeo doesn't really like commercial stuff unless you pay.
