Thread: Save My Social BM Site? Who Can Offer Advice...

I started a social bookmarking site using Pligg and being filled with content through Social Monkee. I am not certain of the consequences.

Filled with spam and massive duplication of urls. i don't know if this is anything to worry about.

No adsense or any other adds. How can I make this work for me?

I am trying to figure out how to take advantage of the disadvantage, before I take steps I want a plan. I am hoping that others would have an idea on this one.

you may let only registered users to post and give them a limit a day. Registration form should include a captcha system and need email confirmation. how ever, now most seo softwares can hack the captcha and email confirmation.

You can manually approve sites that's the only way. I have one ping site and it's hard to keep it clean it from those bots. I don't mind people posting sites expect Adult or other crappy stuff. But some just post all the stuff. All I can do it delete the whole user with everything the person has posted.

If you want to have clean and successful SB site you need to moderate it, removing spam from it every day...

you have to remove those spams as soon as possible because google repeatedly check every sites & if google found that spams in your site that might be possible that they ban you or delete your site from their search index.

try to moderate your site's every content manually.

Welcome to the world of spam =) After our spam systems do their job, I still have around 200 comments and 400 posts a day to clean on my humor site. It is just part of the job =)
