Static sites VS Blogs
Which do you prefer ? Using CMS like Wordpress for your sites or doing everything manually and make all pages with HTML or PHP ?
I use static pages a lot. It's easy to do all optimize these pages with the way I want. These days it's not hard to do it with Wordpress too though.
Though I haven't tested by my self I was told static sites always have better conversion rate than Wordpress or another CMS.

I'm still love WordPress. It's really easy to enlarge my site. Also there are lot of plugin that can help our site get better search result position.

only wordpress, because its easy to use and all are automated. We have nothing to worry about. Manually made sites looks like hell to me !!

static websites are websites that do not change with the users. They have few interactive features and blogs can be incorporated in any websites.Blogs are the ones that promote interactive social media.Whenever a blogger puts some content with images and new themes it looks different.Dynamic websites are the ones that shows my account details for the users like job portals, banking websites etc.,

Blogs are the webpages not site and static site means site which may contain blog also.

Static html/php websites is better because its technically more secure (less attack surface) and places less load on your host.
However, I am a great fan of wordpress and almost all my niche websites are built with it. One of the major reasons is because of all the plugins that make SEO simple and easy to do, not to mention the amount of time it saves.

Think of a keyword phrase - search for it on Google. There is your answer, 99 times out of 100 the highest sites displayed will be html or php, static sites that may or may not have been optimized for the keyword phrase.

I dont think thats the answer. Many factors play a role for getting PR. Backlinks, topic relevant backlinks, press releases, article etc.
If you have 2 sites with the same topic and really same backlinks than you can speculate which one is better. But think of panda ... perhaps the used text is relevant too ...
You must make the same seo on both sites to compare these and say what is better. You have to do this with different topics to get a good result and say which is better.
All methods and site variations have advantages and disadvantages

After running several static sites then converting to Wordpress I would never use anything but Wordpress for any design project-- it's simply the best right now

yo can make a static page with wordpress and have a section with the blogroll for news or whatever...

The availability of various SEO plug-in makes wordpress is winning the battle against static HTML page. Static page have a lot of limitation which make your site hard to compete in the war of SERP.
However, one advantage of using static site is its small size. As comparison, you can make a hundred/thousand static site in unlimited baby hosting package on HG. But, if you’re using WP then your hosting is enough just for about 50-60 wordpress blog.

Depend on how you want your site to show, this is my thought

static site is great for promoting affiliate product, besides the loading content can be superfast rather than blog that have many plugin installed and lots of post
