I too own a forum myself and I am really fed up of these Spammers. I just got around 500 spammy **** posts in the last week. Thank God, I just deleted and removed those spammers somehow. Just read these tips, now its time to find a nice mod to prevent Spam.
It would be great if anyone can help me in finding one for a Phpbb forum.

today I read something like this, there's an option with some forums to disable some words like po*n, Viagra and etc. When someone write this kinda work, forum software automatically identify them and convert it to some word or symbol given by the admin.
EG- if you type blackhat on warrior forum, it automatically changes to bluefart

I don't know about the automatic changing, but phpBB does have a banned word list.

so i think automatic words changing feature also has. Maybe need to install a new plug-in or add-on or something. Banned word list also okay to stop real people spamming.
