Thread: How often you backup your blog ?

Hey everyone, How often you backup your blog or website ? and what kinda method do you use for that ? backup using ftp client or with wordpress plugins ?
I do backup 1 time a week, sometimes 2 times using ftp client filezilla.
If you use any wordpress plugins to backup your blog, please mention their names.

For WP blogs I use the DB backup plugin. It takes a Data Base backup and mail it to my email everyday. I do this to save comments.

So BlogSpot Blogs I take a Backup of Data Base after making a post. These guys delete blogs here and there so I don't want to loose all my posts and things suddenly. It happened once to me so ..

are there 2 wordpress plugins or only one plug-in to backup the entire data base ? someone told me need 2 plug-ins for that, is it easier than ftp ?

I don't backup files. Only the Data Base. So I'm using only this Data base backup plugin. I take a FTP backup once a while using Filezilla.

My Blgo got hacked last time... so I made a automatic database backup every 2 weeks with ovewriting old backup file.

Do you save it in same host or get it mailed or uploaded to remote backup server ?

i never backup my blog, i just subscribing myself in feedburner, but it would be good if something happen to your blog you have already a backup plan, can someone teach how to backup? i really don't know how to do that

You wouldn't understand how important taking backup is till you get your blog hacked or something happened and you need to restore it. Here are some good articles to read about this and good plugins.
