IMT Supercharged Bookmarks Tutorial and some general SEO & Link Building Tips

IMT Supercharged Bookmarks Tutorial and some general SEO & Link Building Tips

First things first and some FAQs

If you already didn't I suggest that you go here and read it especially first part of the tutorial:
    http://www.imtalk.org/f42/9114-imt-e...ding-tips.html

I've been often asked similar questions over and over, for example:
"What is the best number of bookmarks for my site/web page/YT video/blog/etc?" or
"What is the best number of days for submission to use?" or
"Will this work for my site/web page/YT video/blog/etc?" or
"How many submissions/bookmarks is enough for my site/web page/YT video/blog/etc"
"What is the current blue print/flow chart for using your tools for my site/web page/YT video/blog/etc"...

There is no general rule or master plan. There is no magic number. Soon as you realize that the better.
SEO is individual thing based on many factors and can't be applied to your website/webpage like some formula.
Each site/page is individual and needs to be treated in that way.
So me or anyone else can't know your website SEO "situation" better than you or your SEO manager(if you have one).
Therefore you are the one who needs to know what is the best for your website/pages.

That said there are some general rules/common sense tips you can follow and I will cover them here once again.
I've shared this info on this forum many times, but people just don't want to listen and continue doing it wrong and finally fail.
The ones who do listen and test things for themselves have great success like one of our members in this thread for example:
    http://www.imtalk.org/f29/11841-maki...t-knowing.html

I already explained about natural SEO in other tutorial(link above), so I assume you understand it now.
So the first and most important key to success is content. You need to have great content, it is a must!
If you don't have great content there will be no long term success.
If content is great, you just need to push it with few links and social signals to jump start its natural buzz and share over the net and that is it,
it is the best way and after a while when you will have steady flow of the visitors you will not need to even push it with anything,
visitors will find it and they will share and link to it naturally.

On the other hand If your content isn't interesting enough and therefore not naturally shared by people around the globe,
then you need to mimic that in order for google to "think" you are getting shared and therefor your content is popular/quality/unique and worth something to humans.
This is very hard and tedious way, because after initial push from social signals and links,
you will need to make more and then more and then even more and with hundreds of pages it can be frustrated and you physically can't keep up and you are 100% doomed.
I know many will read this and continue on their old path and fail and when asked will say "I tried internet marketing and SEO and it sucks",
well this is because you need to change your approach to it and soon as you do it you will start to see improvements.

    Submission pre requirements
I'm always using standard submission form, in very rare cases I use advanced(when I need more branded names in anchors, etc..), but mostly I use standard submission form.
So I strongly suggest that if you are not 110% sure about what you are doing don't use advanced submission form!

Although we can see that these links can improve rankings on their own,
I strongly suggest for the sake of long term improvements in SERPs to use social signals along or few days before and then along with those links or any other links you are building.

You also need to know for what keywords you wish to rank on SEs.
So make a list of your targeted keywords for page you are submitting, also make some additional and LSI keywords related to those main keywords as well.

Finally prepare some short description in spin syntax.

    Submission Process
As I already told you that the best option is to use standard submission form, so I will cover only that,
because I assume if you are using advanced form that you know what you are doing.

Standard submission form will generate best possible titles for bookmarks and
therefore your backlink anchor texts for your URL from your inputs (Brand/Website name, URL, main and additional keywords) and
generic words(click here, read this...) as well.

Your Brand or Website Name - Don't enter your URLs here(www or http, etc..).
Here you need to enter only your brand or website name, for example if your business name/website name is "IBM" you will enter "IBM".

Your Main and Additional Keywords - Here you will enter keywords you wish to rank for(main and adittional/LSI) separated by comma.
For example if you are in the "motocycle tire" business and you want to rank for that and similar keywords you will enter:
"motorcycle tires, tires for bike, bike tires, cheap tires, best bike tires, bike tire sale, dunlop tires" etc...
Do not enter generic keywords(click here, read this...) or URLs or anything like that, only your keywords,
the tool will do the rest for you, it will also mix/create them with the best possible % which works these days.

Description - should be about 2 to 4 sentences long describing in breef page you are promoting. You need to use spin syntax in this format:
    {This|Here} is {some|a {little|wee} bit of} {example|sample} text.

Other options like num of the submissions, drip, category is totally up to you to decide as I explained in beginning of this tutorial.

I strongly suggest that you do other link building as well, I'm not saying that you do too much of it,
especially not like 1000 links in one day then nothing(same goes for social signals),
I'm just saying that best practice is to diversify it as much as possible(to look natural) and to do it constantly with ups and downs,
but constantly as much possible so long until your content isn't shared by other people, then you can stop.

Remember SEO is constant process and it needs to look as natural as possible.

I will update this tutorial when needed.

Please ask what ever you want and I will be happy to answer and help you out

    Take care
    Nemanja
