Thread: Yahoo directory?

Is Yahoo direcotry worth $299 + recurring annual fee of $299?
For me this is to much, I think that I can investment better that $299, but others wouldn't agree with me.
What do you think?

I definitely would not. There is much better things you can do with $299 to promote your website. Like buy some ads hold some contests that type of things. I really have never heard any success storys of people using the Yahoo directory.

Agreee with you. It's too expensive. I can do more with that money ($299) for promoting or get quality web directory than pay it to Yahoo Directory.

I disagree because the worth of Yahoo directory is more than the you pay.So I think I will go for it.

Can you share a success story with Yahoo Directory? If I have $299 dollars I would rather do something with it, like pay people to do backlinking, or do article submission.

No way. Why I have to list my blog their. That is too much to invest to promote the business.

Maybe worth it, but I think it is too much for one year listing still.

i think paying $299 is too too much, that too for one year,instead of paying to them we can develope our website with attractive designs.so that you will get more visitors.

Yes exactly my sort of thinking :-)

It doesn't give you enough boost to pay 300 $ a year for just one directory. You can get more quality links in other different ways.

I know it is too much it depends upon your thinking and how you work over there

I paid the $299 one time only. But years later if you search in the Yahoo Directory my web site is still being display in the #6 spot for my major keyword phrase (web page design). So, for me and the traffic to my site, whitegyr dot com, the fee was well worth it.

It's worth it to submit, because you will have better SERP from Yahoo Search Engine, once submit to Yahoo Directory. Also, Yahoo will add your site in many other countries Yahoo Directory not just general directory such as everything.yahoo.com/us/?world]Yahoo! Everything & World

Are their any other benefits that go with the listing? Or i it just, pay the $299, and it gets a permanent listing in their directories?
