Forgive me I'm new and new to this whole thing about back-links and what not. I have looked at many of these posts and all the provided links kinda seem like crap to me. This page for example you have to add their code to your page. Is this a normal thing? The page I went to before was a landing page looking for my email and once I gave them one for spam the page I went to didn't even work properly. Do people find that pages that are recommended here for the most part suck? I came here at the beginning for the IMT Website Submitter and loved it, so i decided to sign up but since then every other page has been crap!

No adding a code for directory submission is ok. But not for backlinks. sometimes a page may be down or have a technical glitch.
