Most of the SEO professionals like squdioo pages, how does it helps in generating sales or huge traffics?

I got so frustrated with Squidoo that I just deleted my account for this reason. I wrote a new lens and when I hit the publish button their software flagged it as spam and gave a list of Squidoo links for reasons why this could be. I spent a couple of hours going over the material and following further links without seeing anything that could apply to that new site. Then a few days later I got a notice that my most popular lens, which was similar in content, was going to be locked for the same reason with the same list of useless links. I saved them the trouble and deleted the account. They were welcome to donate my 38 cents (my share of earnings) to charity!

Horror stories, I hate when that happens!

The Squidonts page was among those that they sent. My pages were all original content with screen shots of open source programs. I could find nothing in any of the pages that they sent, or the other pages linked from those pages, that seemed to apply to the lenses in question. The quality of the page that was active was much higher than one of my more promotional pages and did actually bring search traffic to their site.

It is one thing if you are just using the pages for backlinks and quite another if you hope to make money. If you hope for income you must join the culture there and promote the site in the regular ways. If you are going to promote a site, why not promote your own site where you don't have to split the income?

I prefer both of them squidoo and hubpages.

Squidoo, Hubpages and so on are a good method of backlinking since they tend to rank relatively quickly and earn you some residual income at the same time.
So you could rank these lenses for long tail keywords, and then point them to your money site where you would be targeting more competitive keywords.

Your lens will be indexed quickly and have a good serp so you can get links and sales

It does pop up sometimes in search result sometimes, but it does help you get some backlinks from a reputed site. However, you need to make sure that you are not copying and pasting content from anywhere.

By creating pages on squidoo and also linking to your web page on the same topic will add link juice to your web page. Squidoo is search engine friendly since they have intra site linking and have high page rank, this helps in SERP rankings.

Squidoo can be great if you don't get into trouble with them. They have people patrolling all categories and all submissions looking to report it to HQ and ding it. It is super easy to have your page locked and account banned. The residual income is minimal. Their highest earner is 2k a month, the next 7 highest earners are just over 1k a month all US dollar amounts.

I find it great for long tail, zero competition keywords, and then pointing everything at your money site. Squidoo is a great tier 1 backlink if you have traffic on your Squidoo lens (page).

All content farms sites are now under threat of spamming warning because of new Google Panda Algorithm but still Squidoo is doing great work. So you must need to create Unique and good content in order to get maximum benefit from a Squidoo lense. Back link from Squido have just amzing value.
