Is that becuase the article would link back to the site of origin? Presumably spun articles are to give you more exposure for a single article you have written or is it to enable you to use an article you have noy writen without copywrite issues.
Just trying to clarify it. I have found article spinners tend to produce a unreadable articles without a lot of extra work, and so defeat the purpose.

true, you could use article spinning as a 2nd tier to a good one...

Worth it now more than ever. With the Relaunch of SpinRewriter version 4.0 on 10/18/13 - crazy good. And not to be outdone, Johnathan Leger and theBestSpinner's 3.5 update with full sentence restructuring/spiining. Very good too.
I uncover private blog networks for top retailers that only uses 100% spun content. So, if the big guys with 5 and 6 figure monthly seo budgets still doing it and ranking, I am certain that it still works.

Does it work? Yes. Is it "morally" wrong? No. Because these articles usually serve one purpose, to rank higher in search engines, not be read by humans. If real people had to waste days worth of their lives reading it I would say yes, but since it's a means to an end that doesn't hurt anyone, it's fair game.
