Thread: What search engine is worth the effort?

In my book main is google by far.
My second best is bing.com , in my experience this traffic converts much better than google traffic, but not much visitors when comparing to google, so google is #1.

Your effort will payoff if you optimize for google, just don't try to trick the google.
Follow their main rules for optimization(onpage) and build just quality and your content related backlinks. Maybe it is harder to find and get such backlinks, but this is what you need to do in order to see google page 1.

One quality and content related link is xxx time stronger then some low quality backlinks, like profile, gusetbook, social bookmark backlinks or so, this not mean that you should not build this kind of backlinks, because you should and you must.

I'm only considering google also, never look into any other in terms of optimization, but have few clicks from bing, yahoo, comcast, aol and others.

Google is few light years in front of other search engines when you are looking from market share aspect. On every site i have built Google was dominant, in Googles behind is Bing and Yahoo and so many other with little number of visitors.

I consider google first and the last. I mean there are so many people I know and none of them never even thinks about searching yahoo for stuff. Need anything google it, that's what is popular everywhere!

nothing beats google when it comes to search engine. for all we know google is the top 1 search engine as of today and most people use it to search for anything and in this manner, traffic, back links comes to you.
