What is the Role of On Page Optimization in SEO ? How much on page optimization affects the serp and rankings ???

According to me on page optimization plays a big role in SERP & Rankings for a website. This is a major part for a website or a search engine to get website details.

The effect is equal to off page optimization thus you have to do both of them.

The main role of on page optimization is refers to optimizing the website in a particular format with according to search engine. In this section has a many task are given below:

1. Title & Meta Tage Creation with use of primary and secondary keywords of the website.
2. Using the keyword proximity and prominence method for how to place the keywords in the web content of the web page
3. Using H1 and H2 tags for heading to promote the most important keyword of the website
4. Using ALT tags for Image Optimization
5. Using the robots. text file the preventing to the index of the webpage of the website.

Plenty. If you're not included keywords and long tailed keywords that you want a page to rank or you're not telling the search engines or your reader, for that fact, exactly what your page is about. Link building ultimately will help push this, but it all starts with being optimized correctly on every single page. Optimization is step 2 after you've identified some great keyword phrases for your page.

But like I said both optimization and backlinks are important.
