Blind Text (invisible Text) out of order?

Some years before it was a hype that Admins put invisible text on they website to get better ranking. It was before i come into SEO Branch, so i cant remember all, maybe anyone can tell what was the hype exactly and how the hype got punished or closed later....

Those things long gone and no longer work. Every search engine bot is program to catch stuff like that. This only worked early stage of Google search. They patched the problem pretty fast.

yes, i remember too that is was very early, so as soon the search engine "see" that the text have the same color Code as the BG of the site it is over? the rat is catched?

Invisible text was used for keyword stuffing. The most common form, probably, was simply using text that was the same color as the background. There are other css techniques that could be used, like tiny text or a div offset enough that it would not show on the screen. Google got a lot better at reading css files, so it knows when those type of techniques are applied.

CSS spamming came after these keyword stuffing times. Even I did that since it looks pretty much white hat those days. I named all CSS rules in related keywords and it worked for a while too.

I too remember hearing about that stuff. But I was more focused on my education and heard it from my teacher. Until then I did not understand what was SEO and why people were so crazy about the internet.

Those were in the early days of search engines. Forget blind texts, people used to repeat some keywords so many times in so many ways under tags and it came on rank and the site used to be completely irrelevant to it. Search engines have made a lot of smart advances to correct them.

I think this is one of the Black Hat SEO technique. Dont use just like keyword stuffing.
