Hi Everyone,

Keyword density is percentage of keyword used in content.
Keyword density is the number of times a keyword is used on a web page in proportion with other words. You can calculate the keyword density of a particular text as:
keyword count/ total word count * 100.
The idea is to use them in such a clever fashion that neither does it hinder readability or dilute the real message (as in the case of keyword stuffing), nor is it a case of under-utilization. To say that 0.2% or 2% or 5% is the 'most appropriate' density is something laughable.
Keyword density means the frequency of keywords on your content. As one of the members said it is calculated as percentage.
Although Google webmaster guidelines are silent about the recommended keyword density. But according to some experts it must be 3 % means you keyword may appear 3 times in a paragraph of 100 words. whereas others say that it may be 2 - 5 %.

It doesn't matter what "keyword density" means, because the search engines don't care about it now. It has been superseded, years ago by Semantic Context, which just means that certain words tend to go together, for example, in an article about internet-marketing, you are likely to also have words like "make money online", "SEO", etc.
All you have to do to have good Semantic Context, is write high quality content. Either write about something you know really well, and/or do your research properly.
