Question How to use phrasal keywords for better SEO

    Hi There,

Most of my keywords is made up of 2 words (phrasal keywords). So how can I make sure if google see them together? for instance "immigration usa", I do not want to be seen as " bla bla immigration" or "usa bla bla"

    Thank you.

You can place an emphasis, bold or and underline around your keywords. This will set them apart. Make certain that your inbound links are using these phrasal keywords as anchor text. Be certain that you follow good on page seo by using the keyword phrase in each of your title tags and description.

Place your keywords in meta tags, anchor text and title tags. This will surely tell the search engines that you are targeting long tail keywords.
Place your targeted long tail keywords in header tags, if possible.

Look at which keyword has more competition in a short form then make it long as that keyword has high searches and low competition.

Mixing around those keyphrases and related keywords is good for LSI, which makes Google know it's relevant content. Don't worry about Google, they will pick up two, three, four...etc keyphrases whether you like it or not. I'm ranking for long-tail keywords that I wasn't particularly aiming for, but it doesn't matter as it brings more traffic. Check Webmaster Tools for clarity.

Just have them together in your content, but don't overdo it as that can hurt you or borderline become keyword stuffing. Best thing is to make ti look natural while still having some instances of your direct phrase and perhaps some instances of the words broken up.

absolutely right, i think first of all we should try to rank phrase keyword, then make them smaller with the passage of time and when you feel that your site is going up and getting much traffic then you should straggle to rank single keyword.

You can focus on following 3 factors to get it done.

    1. Title Tag, Meta Description & Meta Keywords: You can define accurate title tag as well as unique title tag consist of your phrase keywords. You can also add alternative keywords in title tag in prefix or suffix to target long trail keywords during organic search. If your target keyword will come first in title tag so, it will give you some additional advantage.

Meta description is one of best factor to gain your CTR over organic search result so try to indicate meta description with some romantic details which encourage searchers to click on your result. Google is also following active snippet from content portion. If you suppose to drill down your content so it will help you lot.

Meta keywords are not ranking factor so it's also not help you out for this stuff.

    2. Write Unique Content Copy: You can write unique content copy for your website. Be natural during content writing. Don't need to focus on any section of keywords like density or proximity. Make aware your visitors about your services or products by natural content. You just need to include your initial target keywords to content copy with bold tag or hyperlink.

    3. Rich Navigation: You can develop rick navigation with text link which are associated with your phrase keyword.
