    Finding keywords without tools/programs

Do you ever try to find the best keywords without keyword tools/programs/researchers? I have done this many times in the past, before I even knew of keyword tools. I know adwords has the option to research keywords and such, but I never tried that, yet.

Anyways, do you feel like you can find the right keywords no matter what? Or do you feel you need a little help from programs?

Of course you can find a decent amount of keywords on your very own, but you wont find every single keyword out there set for your niche. Your niche may have thousands of keywords, and it's always best to have a second option like a research tool or using adwords keyword finder. You can find a lot of keywords by thinking and doing your own research, but wouldn't you rather have a tool that can give you all of the best keywords at once?

Another option for keyword research without using tools is to use the Google Suggest.

I use mainly free tools but I also have ScrapeBox and use that for brainstorming ideas and finding out what some popular longtail keywords are. I can do several fold scrapes from all search engines, remove dupes and check popularity of them all with Google Keyword Planner Tool.

But the GKPT is not totally accurate!

Don't forget to use Google Trends tool too.

Of course you can come up with keywords without the use of any program. However, you would want the help of a keyword tool just so you would which keywords are worth optimizing for. Google keyword planner tool should suffice. You can also use Google trends tool to see which keywords are on the rise. I wouldn't recommend paying for "special" keyword research tools as they just basically import their data from Google.

Yes you can but it very time consuming and you will miss some of important ones which you will get with the help of tools. Personally i Use MOZ pro to check the keyword difficulty and SEMRush to find the competitors and keywords
