Thread: What is the best tool for Keyword Research?

I use Wordtracker, one of the best keyword research tool.

Wordtracker,keywordlite and market samrui are the best tools.

2 best paid tools are LongTailPro and Stealth Keyword Competition Analyzer. I use the last one with keyword lists from Adwords.

I was trying to start a new site and as usual I went to google adwords for the details of the niche. There were two long tail keywords with 1000 searches per month and the first one was taken, so I went for the next 1000 search per month kw. I built a site and ranked it in 3 days. But even after being on the first page 4th position I was getting no traffic. I went to google trends and typed in my long tail and found that there were no trends for that. I typed in the other one and got nice trends. Confused I headed over to SEM rush and typed in my long tail to discover only 12 searches per month. Google adwords can be misleading and I prefer SEMRush. Huge mistake from my part that I skipped SEMRush with my niche research but no harm done. I will rank it for the other kw in some days

Did you use "exact" match when you did keyword search adword ? Because for long tail low traffic keywords you need to do that.
