Email Marketing is definitely efficient to get traffic on your website but it will also depend on your clients list is clean or not and are you targeting the right people or not, there are many other things you should know before running an email marketing campaign otherwise it will only increase your bounce rate and eat your money.

I'm not quite understand your questions and concern.

I do email marketing to get potential buyer not just traffic.

I normally split them in 2 groups, buyer and prospect. I will send them different message and offers.

You don't need any software if you are just starting with emails, do it manually best way to learn a bit more and then switch to programs.

As I recall others have mentioned MailChimp as offering limited free email service good for those starting out.

Yes, that's true. If we are unable to target right person that may increase our bounce rate. So what is your suggestion to plan for achieve our target? How you plan to collect clean list?

I agree with you ... Mail chimp is good for start but Aweber is the best if you're serious in list building. They also offer their service for $1 for the first month, So according to me - its a good try

go for optin email marketing its the best source of converting
traffic to your products or offers..

If you have a targeted and updated email list with you, then its the best possible way to get sales according to me without much work. But building a list like that is really tough job.

Email marketing is good to direct people to any page you want hence yes it's a good traffic method. Obviously you have to have a list. This is everywhere written .

Bigger and the more targgeted the better traffic

yes e-mail is efficient and effective way to get targeted traffic to your site.

Mail Chimp is free but not supposed to be used on commercial sites as far as I'm aware. Aweber si by far the best service though.

Email marketing is not as easy as anyone thinks. It takes a lot from you to design and develop. Plan your way in email marketing to succeed.

agree with you. Read ebook they said easy, when working has seen difficult.

Email marketing is good channel to more traffic in less time. Now a days lot of online marketing companies provide free bulk email service software.

Yes, it can work well. I'd recommend doing the lead-generation to ensure high quality, new leads, rather than buying lists that you don't know so much about.

working with real leads can be very profitable, whether you're using them to build a list, to sell your own products or services (or affiliate or CPA if you don't have your own yet), or just re-selling them to businesses who really want them.

This can be a great online-business !
