my local news niche: informacje lublin
I believe so, Everyone seems to be aware of spam and they just ignore, mark as spam or block. Hotmail emails now have reduce the amount of Junk coming into their servers
Not really, its like saying snail mail is dead. Its really not, there will always be a market for it.
Email marketing is not dead. The problem is that 99% of online entrepreneurs, or those who think they can make money fast online, are focusing on the IM / MMO niche. In this niche email marketing isn't nearly as effective anymore as it was a few years ago because of it. My focus is on other niches and even small size lists can be very profitable if the content you give to your subscribers is valuable to them.
My advise ? Don't start off with the IM/MMO niche. You'll only be disappointed. The competition is massive and EVERYONE in thiese niches is sending the same types of messages and free gifts to their lists. How many of the emails you get in your inbox are from lists in the IM/MMO niche and how many of those emails do you REALLY open and read ?
You get my point...
Andre
I have a folder named spare parts in my email client. If a marketer sends too frequently I make a filter to send their emails directly to the spare parts folder. I seldom, if ever, check that folder. It is quicker and easier than trying to unsubscribe from their lists. How many of the emails you get in your inbox are from lists in the IM/MMO niche and how many of those emails do you REALLY open and read ?
PS: Andre, there is no filter for your emails!!

I try to give good info in my emails and would never preprogram my autoresponder to send out more than 2 or 3 emails per week.
And I hardly ever send out promotions of other products either...only when I find something that is really good stuff...usually free...sometimes paid.
By the way...I've unsubscribed from all email lists I was part of, except for just a few marketers who have helped me and give valuable tips and strategies. Needless to say...there's too many sending out only crap all the time....

I have never used an email for marketing, as I hate spam emails myself. 99% of emails I receive goes with delete button. I don't spam on twitter or facebook either, as I don't see the point.
Honestly I never been into e-mail marketing too much , but I think this method started slowly going down some time ago. This method was badly abused and I think 95% of people doesn't even open spammy mails this days.
I think email marketing is not what its cracked up to be, most just use it to spam witch does not work.
