Thread: What is Email marketing?

Well i am new to this field but i am interested to learn something from you guys about Email marketing.
Actually the important thing is that i am doing only forum posting but this time i an interested to get knowledge about marketing tips related to mail because i have lots of Emails.How to use them i don't know any thing.........

its basically selling out ur products or gving out ur affiliated links to people on their email sent in 1000s to millions .. Nice way Popularize your products

You have to EDUCATE yourself about email marketing first.

Try to gather some materials related to your chosen niche starting RIGHT NOW

I am NOT trying to scare you, just telling you that you NEED to build followup emails and special broadcast emails before you start promoting your website and start sending out emails.

Make sure that your followup emails are NOT junk, but have useful content and provide VALUE!

Off course, you can add your affiliate links in the emails, but do them subtly and DO NOT overdo them, so that you are NOT seen as a spammer.

In short, make about 10-12 'informational' follow up emails, which have some RICH content and your affiliate link cleverly inserted in the text.

I did not know about them - I'll check this out

Don't think too lightly about email marketing. I see all the time that too many starting internet marketers think "it's all so easy" once you know what it takes.
Well...WAKE UP CALL ! It's not. And buying huge lists of emailaddresses will most likely result in being reported as a spammer and your hosting provider will probably disable your account...
Most of those lists you can buy are scams and NOT targeted prospects at all...

Whoever told you he got rich from sending emails to hundreds of thousands of people...I don't believe it. Especially in this time of day...unless this person has been able to build a huge opt-in mailinglist.

Before you can use email marketing to actually make some money off it, you'll have to work pretty hard for a few months AT LEAST.

While spamming is email marketing in a sense, true email marketing is directed towards your own opt in list of people that choose to receive your emails. You build a relationship with them by providing them information of interest to them. When you have built a relationship in this way you have opportunity to offer them products and have a good response rate.

Wink0r hits the nail on the head. It's best to build a relationship with your subscribers, so you can promote similar or related products in your market to your list. Create a seperate segment of those who actually buy and build a buyers list, which is one of the greatest assets an internet marketer can have. For many it's the main stream of income.

i totally agreed with your statement, all email marketers should avoid spamming method, you must collect reliable customer mean 'real mailing list' that are hunting for the niche that you are promoted
