Ok i had to open this thread to give you an idea about linkedin traffic
So many on you already know about yahoo answers but lets face it the competition is big on yahoo also your account get banned very quickly. Some are lucky to survive on yahoo but why not look also at another source of traffic.
Did you tried to explore Linkedin answers and group posts ?

This is good to find people related to your niche. Not so much traffic but for gaining relationships which could help you out in the future.

No, I am not much interested with linkedin yet it is good source to generate traffic. From yahoo answer we can get huge unique visitors. But if you use yahoo answer just to promote your products then your account may disable by yahoo answer team it is simple. I like yahoo answer so much

If you take 30 min per day and spend on linkedin you can brink in first week about 1k targeted visitors to your site.
On yahoo is risky even if you do not promote your site or products but if works for you go for it.

I am very satisfied with stumbleupon and reddit.I have tried linkedin 2 or 3 times but I didn't get any significant number of visits from there.

Use what ever works for you but i suggest to explore more traffic sources after you master couple of them. Do some research and you will make it to work.

Linkedin traffic works for me and one of the strategy that I find very effective here is by joining related groups that talks about your niche. Join them and actively participate and you'll be surprise on how much traffic you could generate from it.

As LinkedIn is a good platform to develop professional relation as well as by joining relevant Group we can be easily in touch with our target audience/or like minded professional ,what I feel through through LinkedIn we not only get the good traffic but also can generate leads.

I don't know about linkedin answer, even if I am a member in that social media site. I join some group there and not get a good response from the group I joined

LinkedIn is my favorite site for getting targeted traffic for my website. I have been using LinkedIn from last two years and I got fantastic results. Mostly the Q&A discussion more crucial for me. Even I gave more priority to LinkedIn than Facebook.

Linkedin actually works a lot for the business. This is a social networking site for those who are into professional occupations.

LinkedIn shut down its Answers. Period. Finis. End of story.

I gave answers once in a while. It generated a tiny amount of traffic. It's questionable whether it was worth the time. It gave an interesting backlink. I don't know how good the backlink was.

There were several people who used LinkedIn Answers to fight the boredom of their lives. That is, they answered a few hundred questions every day with empty one sentence answers. It made using Answers crap.

Yes, you are right. Linkedin is a great platform. But it is difficult to join many platforms that always show message of pending.
