Thread: links on facebook pages

I have a high PR facebook page (pr5), if I have some links from that page to my site, is it valuable ?
(nofollow links)

Have you ever tried pinging the page? maybe it will get indexed the links,who knows, but as far as i concern it is pointless to have a link at facebook page,i read so many time about this in blogs,forum,etc.. but go do experiment by yourself, maybe google change the algorithm

I almost placed a link there long time before, but I don't see any change.

long time? for how long... but i think there's no doubt that link that come from Facebook profile/pages is nofollow and not counted by Google

yes its true but i think the dofollow link need to have more than nofollow link... i think maybe 70%dofollow 30%nofollow

PR wise a noFollow links not gonna help since those links don't pass link juice.

PR wise, no, but search engines will still classify it as a link and will index it accordingly.

Yeah this is very true more like 80 20 but doesn't matter

Happy you, it looks that now Facebook page is indexed by Google. This is also become a reason of why you’ll find so many people promoting affiliate product through Facebook note. Surprisingly, their Facebook page ranked well with their keyword target.
