Promoting on Forums.

How often do you guys promote your websites on other forums? I sometimes find it useful depending on the website you have and the forums. Affiliates also work with forums I find and a whole lot of forums offer them as an option.

I personally thinks that it is not legal to promote your website on someones else website and many website or forum owners also blocks these link building or promotion in their forums.

Forums can be an effective avenue to promote your websites if these forums are related to your niche and if you can make quality posts. The signature link can help especially if your text links are catchy.

I think promotion through forum is very essential. I use the signatures only, and hire cousins to do this work. I pay them a certain amount, but that surely pays off in short time! Backlinks are very important, I think this should not stop at any time!

I use forums also to promote some of my website. For every webiste I use different tactics, depends what I want to achive, if I just want links than I'm only doing "normal" posts with sigs, but if I want traffic and promotion then I'm doing some serious and helpful posting to get some rep. from members, so they check my product/service...

You can promote your website by posting on different forums.Just add the link of your website in the signature and then start posting on the forum but remember one thing do not violate there terms otherwise they will ban you. By this you can promote your website.

I use it all the time! Forum marketing is a very effective way to drive laser targetted traffic to your site.

You just have to play your cards right. One of the important things is to make helpful and informative posts and to interact with other forum users to build some reputation and credibility.

Then, make a really attractive signature promoting your site. If you have followed the steps correctly, then you will find that people will click on your links!

sometimes, but I don't use lot of forums for that. Only popular forums. But I like to make back links from forums if they have PR4 or higher

Well, forums links are good, i accept, but should we care to get relevant forums back links rather then only from any forum ?
