Hope the title said it all! My question is, How and when did you make the first dime online?

My Story:

I was struggling with soooooooooo many ideas! Most of them needed investment! And there I was, an empty pocket noob! I started freelancing on various sites, such as - Freelancer.com, Vworker.com, Guru.com. First, I got scammed on Freelancer.com, by providing 20 quality articles and not getting a dime in return

I bid for a SEO project on Vworker and voila, got $75 at once for my hard work!

My first money online / offline i made over 10 years ago in buying and selling used pc hardware over ebay. Later i made single html websites then php sites ans small php programming. Now i make all around the web like installing shopsystems, blogs, single websites, landing pages. I make SEO and Internet Marketing, too. Some projects for my own, some for customers.

First you can start with fiverr and a own website with your offers. Use forums to get customers. Become a subcontractor from a other guy .... There are many ways you can start without having money.

What are your skills? What can you do? Tell us please

Great to hear that! Many of my friends started with Ebay! Can't do that, 'cause my country isn't accepted by Ebay!

Yeah I started on ebay, but it is full of competition. I made alot then dreaded gaypal is full of rubbish. I am now looking into providing services online.

Now i made my first book - no ebook - a really book (selling on amazon.de). Its a book for snake breeders, where you can enter you hole informations about the snakes, mating and informations about the clutch and the hatchlings.

At this time its wirtten in german for german snake breeders, but i like to make a international version in english too.

Very nice, we should make Wikipedia just for the website owners, what you all think?

my first income in IM world come from forum... I still remember in July 2009, i got $10 by doing forum poster job even though the amount is very small..... but it is first time i got money form internet

My first money made online came from spamming affiliate links like crazy...LOL !
In fact it was a Dutch version of clickbank the product was sold on.
If I remember correctly it was a Photoshop tutorial for like 19 bucks.

so now you are not crazy anymore? or still doing spamming like crazy LOL? Can you described the craziness? is it blasts 10000 link per day?

I have not get any money via online yet. I am learning from you all.

I wasn't spamming backlinks at that time...never did that really.
I was spamming blogs, safelists, free ads sites...everything free as I didn't have a budget.
Was just a lucky shot...not possible this way anymore.

You'd have to put in a little more effort to earn something online.

My first online income came in 1995, when I had a site where I offered to design websites for free. Back then, such sites were actually news, and I got listed on Yahoo's What's New page.

And it was the worst site you can imagine, because I'd been a "web developer" for all of three weeks. The home page had a HUGE 300dpi graphic of, yes, you guessed it, the Earth! It only took about 20 minutes to load that image on a blazing fast cutting edge 14.4 modem.

But anyway, it did lead to some paying jobs. A few months later I met a guy who got me the gig of designing the official site for the Golden Gate Bridge. That site didn't suck quite as much as the first one. Almost, not quite.

No kidding, back then, people looked at you in awe and thought of you as a NASA engineer if you knew how to upload images to a server.

ME: Yes Ma'am, I uploaded that image for you, that'll be $75.

CLIENT: Oh thank you so much!!

phil, your story is so funny, i laugh so hard LOL. during 1995 i still in primary school, and nobody knows the word 'internet' and even there's no internet at all during that time, besides no cellphone at all to show off like these day.. time is moving so fast

Hmm. First online Income????? One reason because of which I am here is almost cop/paste article that I have written for one of my friend( eventually he paid me around 1.50$) for that 500 Words "Masterpiece") and here my IM career started with First Income. That article was never published too........... Anyhow Still those 1.5$ are my first income in this IM Business..............Not Big But I can't forget

my first was about 3 years ago when i started with clickbank and then google adsense followed.

That's really an amazing one! That year I just stepped in this holy earth! At the age of 5, I was a regular reader of almost all popular computer magazines (LOL), I didn't understand a thing, but I just loved the graphics work done on all those magazines! And specially, the screenshots of Tomb Rider

Not specifically IM related as such - but I tried alsorts of techniques when I was younger; atricle writing, affiliate linking etc.. but with no reward! The first time I recieved actually money for something was only a year or so ago on a Poll website - which I would do if I got a quiet minute at work and would earn myself on average around £0.10 a poll. To date they've so far paid me £80.. which is certainly better than nothing
