Thread: Microsoft going to by Skype

I saw this on Yahoo news few days ago. I wonder what MS going to do with Skype. Ebay bought big share of skype for like 2 Billion while ago and they tried to link it with their auction platform. But it didnt work and they sold skype shares they owned few months ago I think. I wonder if Microsoft have a smarter plan for Skype.

At least something which might not hurt free Skype users.

Hmm from what I hear its already happened and Skype has now become or is in the process of becoming Microsoft Skype. I think they paid something like 8.5 billion for skype, and have now created a new division within Microsoft for Skype, complete with its own director.

I what read in Yahoo news was current skype SEO will be there and Now he will report directly to Microsoft SEO.

Skype will become a new business division within Microsoft, and Skype CEO Tony Bates will assume the title of president of the Microsoft Skype Division, reporting directly to Ballmer.
