How to decrease the propagation delay?

I've changed name server of my domain to a new VPS (only have 1 IP address). It's over 24 hours and I can not ping my domain on any computer.

I tested all the configuration on my server and it's correct because I can access the website by adding a record to the "host" file of Windows.

Does anyone have experience about decreasing the propagation delay?
Should I buy more IP addresses for my VPS, will this make the propagation process faster?

If those should be your name servers it would appear that they are not configured right.

I can ping ns1.lyric24h.com and also ns2.lyric24h.com, but unable to ping linktradedirectory.com
So I guess it's because the propagation is not complete yet, over 24h since I changed the name server.

On my old shared host, it takes only 1 minutes, I don't know what's wrong here :(

If those are the correct name servers for your hosting account the fact that queries get to the name server indicates that the propagation of the name server change is complete. The problem appears to be with the records or lack of records stored on the name servers.

When you type a domain name into the address bar of the browser, finding that address is a multi-step process. First the browser contacts a dns server. Unless you change the dns server it is probably either maintained by your ISP or the one that your ISP uses. The dns server has records of which name server is associated with the domain name. (This is where the propagation delay can be a factor.) The browser then queries the name server to get the mapping to the actual IP address and the location of the actual site. When the browser has this information it is able to connect with the site. (The host file on your computer contains the IP address information and saves the lookup through the dns system.)

Is your vps hosting managed? Do you have cPanel hosting?

When you set up a domain through cPanel part of its set up routine is to write the needed records to the name server. There is usually a dns zone editor under the Domains section of the cPanel. If you do not have cPanel you would probably need to write the needed records manually and get the records to the name server. If you have managed hosting they should be able to help with the problem.

My vps is unmanaged and I installed zPanel on it (free software to manage vps).
I'm finding and working with the config-files to fix this problem like you said.
