Thread: VPS problem

I'm having a problem with one of my VPS. I had to reinstall it because there was something wrong and there was a huge bandwidth pike.

So I have reinstalled it with CentOS 5.5 and Kloxo. added DNS records too. Then have reuploaded all files through FTP.

But those sites still showing only that Kloxo splash page. It's like nothing's uploaded.

I think something isn't setup right on the server considering your domains/IPs or hosts...etc...
Contact your support and ask them to make the right changes..if that is possible...

It's a unmanaged server. So I'm not sure about they would support with this.

I have checked everything but must have missed something.

I can reinstall the VPS again though.

I suspected that... You can try re-instillation, but I don't think it would help, but you never know

This probably does not apply to your situation, but I recently had an interesting experience with the dns system. I inadvertently let three domains lapse (I thought that I had a couple more days). I went and renewed the names. Two of the sites came back online for me almost instantly. The third took about 36 hours before I could reach it from home, although others around the net could access the site. There appeared to be some glitch with the update to the dns server I use.

did you end up getting this resolved? You might want to think about switching to a cPanel VPS that's managed depending on how much the problems/downtime is costing you..

I ended up canceling the VPS. Their support is pretty crappy thought their servers used to be very good. I already have 2 other VPS with Cpanel and this one was just for my testing and some off shore sites.
