What is the exact process of selling a domain?

    Hello Everyone,

I am willing to sell a domain so I want to know

What is the exact process of selling a domain?

Do we need to give any permission such as Cpanel access to the buyers?

Please share your knowledge and experience.

    Thank You

You would just transfer the domain over to them. There is typically a setting where you can get a code to give them to turn it over to them. Your best bet is to call whatever domain company you are using since they are all different.

I think payment sending and receiving is also a step of selling a domain? How to ask for the payment, after transferring the domain or before transferring?

The money should transfer before the domain is transferred. If there is a problem of trust there are escrow services on the net. The buyer sends the payment to the escrow company. The escrow company notifies the seller that the funds are available so it is safe to make the transfer. When the transfer is complete the buyer notifies the escrow service to release the funds. I would have the buyer cover any fee for this service if they choose this option.

digtal point and flippa are a good place for selling a domain in terms of permission to your panel i don't really have an ideal about that, this is the main reason you need to visit broker like flippa and digtal point to help you out, they in turn will give you their terms and conditions on how to sell a site

that is why you need a broker that will stand as a meddle man between you and the buyer they in turn collect the money from the buyer and send it to your account after taking their own commission of the proceed

I would also suggest that you advertise around and try to get the best offer possible

Advertise around but advertise where. Has anyone experience in selling sites and can give the best solution to my queries?

I would suggest webmaster forums as well as niche sites for your particular site

What if the buyer is not ready to transfer money for the domain but sticks to the escrow payment? Is escrow payment safe and if yes then which is the best escrow site?

escrow payment is safe, so far i had experience with it. If it is about small amount, normaly didnt need escrow. But on high budged Domain i would only make this way, if the client in another country. If client is in my own country i didnt need it.
