Thread: How to add hidden field in form

I have a directory which gets spammed to death so I want to add some kind of hidden field tot he submit form so bots can't submit. The standard captcha things can get bypassed by the bots so I need something different.

I like the math plugin for wordpress which requires you to type the total of 5 + 2 for example, but my directory is not wp so I'm looking for something similar that can be integrated with a normal submit form.

Any ideas please?

why don't you kep changing style of captcha .. i have seen many directories who are doing this kind of stuff as even if you change any captcha it's cracked by market softwares so i request you to please keep it changing ..

I'd rather find a solution which would be permanent if possible. There seems to be one which hides a field but you need a php script to automatically delete the submission if the hidden field is filled in by the bot.

If you are using a php script to process the form you would just need an 'if' statement at the beginning that calls for the delete action if the value of the trick (hidden) field is not '0'.

You can generate some hidden field with random num and if that vale matches with if statement then OK
Other solution is to have 2 radio buttons(default set to false), if correct is checked then it is OK, was working well for me for robot spammers if you remember human check and black holes

I'm no good with php is there a website with code I can just copy and paste in?
