Thread: Can i check the success from a ping?

Is there a possibility to check if a ping was succusfully after pinging to a service?

I'm programming a ping script at this time and it seems that all is working fine. But how can i check that my ping was really delivered to the ping service?

The only thing that comes to mind is to set up a page to receive a ping and display the info. Other than that you might set up an isolated page with no internal or external links and ping that url. Then watch for spider traffic.

Yes for testing the script i can make a isolated page ... but later in custom progress this isnt possible.
