There are two types of paid links,
    1. Backlinks that passes PR
    2. Backlinks that does not pass PR

If your purchased links are the later one, you can get into link trading with a second thought.

But Google strongly discourage the links which passes PR because it is an deliberate attempt of manipulate search engine rankings.

I consider them ADVERTISING. I pay to ADVERTISE my sites like any smart business person would. In fact, they are one of the few ways I've found to get LINKS WITH PR 1+.

Life's to short to waste energy worrying about what Goog MIGHT do or 'think' -- They want you afraid. Cuz the only kind of Paid Links they want you to believe are 'safe' is ADWORDS. See cuz paying for AdWords links aren't paid links and they're GOOD. But if you do the same anywhere else, it's paid links and they're BAD.

    hi,

i will suggest you to stay away from payed links. Google the king of search engines will penalize your website if you do that.

give Google what it wants i.e natural links. and don't forget to have good & fresh content in your website.

    kindest,
    abhishek kundu

Buying links are good until you are caught by Google....... once you are seen by Google that you are buying links your site ranking would be decreased..
