I have read somewhere that after Google Panda Algorithm, Forum Profile links have no value now. I want to know what exactly it is and even a dofollow Profile link from a high PR Forum has no value?

Depends on the forum and the page if its indexed by google or NOT.
Depends on the pagerank and all other info.
One forum profile backlink = 10 blog comments if the forum is high pr and good indexed.
if the forum has PR 4 + its okay I think. Forums with 0-3 PR are not much useful to make profile back links. Even most profiles don't allow anchor text, so not much useful. profile links from forums like DP can be better.
I read some where that customized profiles with links + about me, interests and/or occupation descriptions that contain some of your keywords are a lot >>> just plain profiles with your links in them. It makes sense because Google can see with the former that that profile page is a lot more related to your backlinks on the page with that content on it. I don't think just leaving a link or 2 on your profile page without adding anything else will be worth much.

Has anyone had success with profile links lately? I asked in another thread before I read this one, but I would really like to know if anyone out there is having success with profile links. If so, what are you doing?
Maybe someone should do a case study. Anyone up for the challenge? I would but I am working on a big project right now.
I do not remember where I read that Google is not giving much importance ....
I'm seeing Forum Profiles often get flushed if you aren't active on a forum - or log in periodically. Signatured POSTS far a lot better over the long haul (if you can get them without spending much time on them) - and might even get you some PR if the page has it. Otherwise, Forum Profiles are largely TEMPORARY PR0 links at best. I regret any money I spent outsourcing them.
Yes they will do not count profiles much but if you add a 1500 chars text in your profile describtion with keywords inside... then it can be interessting and the backlink will count more than you think.
From what what I've read and been told, forum profiles should not be the only kind of linking you do. It should be a part of the mix in your overall link strategy. They may not carry much weight alone but together with other types of link, I'm sure they help.
Forum profiles alone not enough if you want to depend on it solely.. you just need to diversify your backlinks strategies.. but i think it really worth of it if you open the topics on that forum and then after certain time the topics quite popular, then after some time, the webpage thread gain some PR.. then after that your link i think really worth of it
I've seen some of my forum profiles being indexed as my backlinks, so I have to say as long as forums has high PR then , we're good, Also, regularly log-in your accounts and regularly participate on threads, so that your account would not be deleted.
sometimes admin wanna make sure the quality of all the thread opened, so the admin doesn't have choice and need to kick spammers or manipulator. However there are thousand of forum out there on the net that admin doesn't even care about backlink or any OBL (people just take advantage of it)

Thanks for all useful information. After Google Panda Update, we must find other methods to fit Google requirement. Now they concentrate more on rich content, especially articles, content writing. Backlinks may not be useful in this case. However Google still appreciates backlinks as a believable. You can have a look this service at goodlinkbuilding.com to know the advantages of this service
