Thread: Get millions of Backlinks with a Wordpress Templates/ Themes!

If you know HTML and CSS also PHP Coding, you can create easily Templates (Themes).
You can also use Generators...


- create a Wordpress Theme
- add a Backlink in Footer (design by YourName.com)
- upload it on torrent sites
- upload it on wordpress.com at templates
- upload it any where you can download free wordpress themes


If your Template/ Theme looks good, many people will use it.
So there is a chance to get many Backlinks for nothing!

And if your Theme is at wordpress.com for download in category free wordpress themes. You will get many downloads. But be shure that you present your theme with screenshots and a good description!

Maybe after many years, you will have millions of Backlinks, cause millions people over the world use your Template...

I think this is the easiest way to get tons of backlinks

I could be a star - I get spam comments every day inquiring about my themes. All my blogs are built on a theme designed to be modded and I mod all of them to some extent. The ones that are part of a site have a family look with their parent sites.

I must disappoint you all(to some extent) and said that this is something that worked about 3-5 years ago, I know that because I was using it many times and it worked, but not any more(at least not that powerfull), actually it can get your other backlinks devaluated, this is something that happend to me on one of my websites.
Now you don't want same anchor text from millions of WP blogs, because it won't look natural and trust me google can spot that from a mile.
And some other thing, google put very low value to links from footer especialy WP and other free blog platforms.

But still it can work(maybe) if done right.
If you want to sponsor WP themes, then you must sponsor at least 5-10 themes(depends on your competition), themes must be your niche related and you must use different keywords for very theme.
The best way is to find designer and to pay him/her to create 10 WP themes from same niche, that way you will pay less, because you are ordering in bulk and you will have 4 links in footer(which you can resell and get theme for free )
Then you find someone to submit your themes to theme directories and WP theme forums, you can find good submission services at DP or BHW or warrior forum.
Also it is a must that in next few months after you have submitted these templates, build as many different backlinks as possible, from different linkbuilding techniques and with different(mixed) anchor text to make these backlinks from wp themes appear natural and to not get your backlink profile devaluated by google.

I also do agree with Nemanja. This method worked 3-4 years ago, but now I think Google treats footer links with different eyes than links inside the content.

I agree with Nemanja but seriously doubt that one template will bring you so many backlinks that Google would want to devaluate all your other links. I depends how popular the theme would be. Of course, it's not worth relying on this link building technique alone as diversity is a key to prosperity. But something tells me it's worth trying.

I have done same a month ago by creating free blogger template. But main thing I got is: Traffic.
