the classic broken link strategy is to find some 404s and announce the webmasters about them.
somehow must ask them nicely to put a link to your website - is this still working these days?

kind of confusing after reading it

Thank you for sharing the article for broken links. after reading it I just felt that there seems to be a lot of effort and manual effort at that for what might be small gains. Is there nota more effort effective way to get links?
