There is no such limit defined by any search engine. It depends on the quality and niche links vs quantity and unrelated backlinks.

my suggestion is to don't take over 20 backlinks per day if your website is on the beginning of its road... when your website will became popular, you could add how much backlinks you want, but when you start to do backlinks, do it step by step and you'll have great results

Worry about the quality of content and check the authority of sites from where you are getting backlinks and no need to worry about getting the huge quantity of backlinks.
