Index means that Google is showing your website on its search engine and catch mean when Google read again or crawl to update.
Search engine indexing means adding your web pages in Search engine's index
Caching means capturing the latest snapshot of your web page and store it as back up (search engine display a cached copy whenever your website is unavailable)
When Google crawls the particular page it will take a exact copy of that particular page for it's DB, this process is called cache. And after crawling it will update that page details in it's DB, this process is called indexing.
