But it will not effect your ranking.

All thanks to Yelp. Yelp has claimed that people searching for products/services with term yelp is giving google listing in result.

Yeah, I heard it, but not to worry about. The Google Pigeon update influenced only Local searches, so it wasn't a big update in my sight.

From the feedback from different webmaster forums, it seems Google Pigeon didn't affect too many webmasters around the world, which is actually good. Let Google update their algo, we webmasters/seo should also keep ourselves updated and be prepared.

Not to worry about this update, if you are targeting country specific traffic. It was for local search results, and I guess it's been lifted...!

yeah, I also heard about this Google update. Google is realizing many updates like panda, hummingbird, penguin etc., every month Google will update. But i heard this is a major update which is rolled after one year . By this update many websites are deleted from Google index . This updates was initially released on October 17th like a sudden storm to and it will take more time to recover.

The Google Pigeon update influenced only Local searches, so it wasn't a big update in my sight.
