Thread: 301 redirect and webmaster tools, Is this normal?

I did a 301 redirect from free sub-domainto to new domain and now webmaster tools
shows that the almost all old links are transferred to new paid domain.
But now I noticed that all the new links pointing new paid domain will also appear in the old domain data in webmaster tools.

Is this normal?

They know how to handle redirects so don't worry if your 301 redirect is done right in .htaccess file.

Do you know of any problems with using a .php redirect? I use them occassionally and they do get the job done from the users point of view.

NO, no problems, just they don't pass any PR link juice.

Mostly I use them for affiliate links, so I don't care about link juice. You can do both 301 and 302 php redirects and I had understood that the 301 would pass the juice. They do seem to default to 302 unless 301 is specified.
