Thread: I don't Get This With Adsense, PLs Advise

Hi

I have several websites, and i use adsense on all of them aside affiliate marketing. All my websites have between 250 and 2000 unique visitors a day, yet when i look at my adsense account, it only registers 15 at most per site, and this only in one week.

The adsense ads are displayed at every page, of every website, and getting on average 15000 visits a day in total, i know this ain't right.

I have tried many things to get it right, yet nothing helps.

All my ads are set up on its own ad block, it's own channel (per website) and ity's own url, still no impovement on my stats, now i really don't get it anymore.

I have been thinking to delete all my ad blocks and remove them from my sites, just to make them again, and hope it gets better now.

Is there anything i can do, to get this correctly (i might be missing money on the table here).

Maybe your code isn't setup right, or these visits are bogus.

Where are you getting your visitor stats? There are an unbelievable number of bots on the net these days. If they are not filtered they will look like visitors but not act like visitors.

i get my stats from awstats in hostgator. For example, one of my websites is mesotheliome.org, in hostgator it shows i had 280 visits yesterday, yet, in adsense it shows just 2, strange no?

In your cpanel go to the 'Logs' section and click on recent visitors. Open the page for that site. Scroll to the bottom and click on the 'click here' for legacy view. A real visitor's browser downloads a significant number of files when they visit while a bot just downloads a page without all of the auxiliary files. If you see that there was a call for your .css file among the files listed in a box it is probably a real visitor. If the .css file is not called it is almost certainly a bot visit. There is also a 'user agent' line at the bottom of each entry that may give a clue as to the type of visitor.

Also you need to install something like statcounter, it is great, accurate and very easy to install.

Dont forget.. most of your visitors are bots and crawlers... maybe your awstats counter count this kind of traffic and adsense not.

Hostgator stats also count bots. Just use google analytics or Clicky.

Look at the referral stats for your traffic. Piwik is a great alternative to analytics and now with the (not provided) fiasco you can also rely on Google Webmaster tools. Unless you've done a lot of promotion they are most likely fake pageviews.
