Thread: Google plus

I was reading a release by Google dated August 1,2013 in part it says
Google plus prove to me one of the most important ranking features in the near future.
“social signals provide a much better way of filtering out the noise and improving the quality of search results” and “this is a trend that will continue because it is a much better way of understanding what people really want, which is one of Google’s founding principles.”

The above is actually opposite of how I feel.... not that it matters to Google! Lol. I feel Google provides more duplicate and useless crap in its search results..... but who am I.

I feel that way too, I think they results are much worst then 3-4+ years ago...

Absolutely, that's like the 'webspam action button' I posted about yesterday. The exact same article I read about the Google Plus is were I read about that button on webmaster tools. I just updated that so I won't repeat myself but .... I have to wonder if Google plus is really here to stay... the sad part is Google switches things so much all any of us can honestly say about google SEO is an opinion, because once we speak truth into it Google will change something and make a liar out of us. LOL.

I was spending a lot of time promoting the google plus button on one of my blogs. All manual clicks no bots and definitely not a lot but I have about 95 google plus clicks on my blog and it has been pinged I have registered it with my google webmaster tools, created keyword and description meta tags and I still notice it ranks on page 3 of google for targeted keywords.
Next I am going to try using the key words as anchor text and backlinking. Just a couple of key words I will be money that pulls me to page 2 or even 1. The good part is I rank on page 1 of bing just as it is for targeted key words!
