The content plays a very vital role in delivering the most possible visibility to a particular website. Most of the search engines track down the keywords and keywords phrases that a particular website uses in a particular way. You should write articles that would provide good service and knowledge to other people and which in turn will provide the necessary mileage the traffic flow needs.

You can also make use of the newsletters if you make your content really informational and interesting. The more interesting your content will be, the more people will sign up for your newsletter and that will result in increasing the traffic for your site. Another strategy is that you can build your own weblog, write your own content and can advertize your products and services. Then, you can simply link your articles to the content on your website. The surfers will follow the links to find more information and that will lead them to your website thereby increasing your traffic.

Good information, as Google always liked content it is always good to have quality content so you can be in Google's good books and rank high in searches.

The main thing is that Google does not like that content which is not user friendly and unique. Moreover, visitor does not like a content in which you can not provide useful information to retain him. You have to be innovative and try to provide sufficient information in your writing.

I would say the more appealing your content, the more attention you get.
If your visitors are not drawn to some call to action they'll just leave your site.
If your content and call to action offer something that will help your prospects you've won.

Content can be very unique, but that doesn't tell you anything about the visitors behaviour...

The main purposes search engine like unique quality content because SE wants their pages result is full of diversity content and really matters to people.. imagine you are internet user, it is for sure if you search for iphone review, the SE results will not give you all the same content, because SE know people want variety sources and result

I agree that unique content improve SEO but how does SE be smart enough to analyze if the content is quality?

But agree that a quality content can make your website viral as more people will share with others but I don't think it will help at all for SEO.

Google algorithm believes

1. "Reduce rankings for low-quality sites—sites which are low-value add for users"
2. "Provide better rankings for high-quality sites—sites with original content and information such as research, in-depth reports, thoughtful analysis and so on"

At the very least they can check the time before you click on another search result. If you use Google analytics they can track users through the site knowing how much time is spent on a page. If there is adsense on the page there is yet another method to track movements. The longer the time that is spent on a page/site the greater the chances that the content holds some interest to your visitors, meaning that the content holds some quality.

how about if the page is full of videos embedded? can Google know the page content hold some quality also due to people stay longer on that page because they want to watch all the videos embedded can google differentiate between video content and writing content?

yes thats why video marketing is playing important role in SEO nowadays.

It is important because the quality content is the base for everything. The Google give first importance on content only while crawling. To increase more traffic and visits to your site therefore best content require it.

quality content itself not enough, you need to build backlinks also, if you write competitive topic with your own word, you just need good quality backlink also to get crawler attention

If you have quality content, you'll get organic back links as well. Because your readers will share your articles (links), others will quote you on their sites, will make reference to your articles and so on. Then, when having a great content, you can post your articles on Digg, StumbleUpon and so on.. your back links will come naturally, as I said. Google wants its users to be happy. And a useful content is what makes them come back.

Using unique content is always recommended as far as SEO is concerned.

Unique content to please Google is one thing.
The content needs to be unique (in YOUR personal way) and appealing for those prospects who want YOUR information.
Making google happy and ranking your site won't mean anything if the visitors aren't targeted and if those visitors feel no need to stick around on your site.

Unique content can be very boring...or very interesting.

That's very true, it is also true that you can have all the unique content you want but if your site does not "make noise" on the internet will not help and will be a lot more than you will need to get natural backlinks, social networks, and relevant sites talk about you.

That's so true. If you ever take a look at some of the content that people link to, it is usually something exceptional or something they would want to share with their friends. Unique content is good, but making it stand out is where the gold is.

Unique and good content always attract people to visit your site and also the search engine if your talking about how unique content help you to get your site rank on search engine.
than it is that google also visit site that have better and unique wording on your article or content and have updating regularly.

unique and quality contents very impotent in SEO because Google's like contents and prefer compulsively for searching results and mostly peoples use Google for searching therefore your strategy depend on Google interest.

There is no doubt about it. My friend even builds one niche website without backlink but he’s updating the website by a lot of quality content. Now the web is ranked well and produces decent money.

It may cause because quality content can keep people to stay in his website. When the bounce rate is low, search engine will think this is good website and then place it on the top of their search result.
