Thread: Click through statistics

Does anyone have statistics on the percentage of click throughs based on the positions in the SERPs?

i.e. If there are 1000 searches on a term, what would be a good solid average percentage to estimate the amount of traffic if you were ranked in a given position.

I know factors such as title and text used in description effect it, I'm just looking for a ball park.

I don't think it's possible for anyone but Google to have insight in the clickthroughs on SERPs.
Only for your own websites you can see this in your CPanel.
All we're sure of is that the first few links in the SERPs are clicked the most.

If anyone knows, it would be interesting to see this.

I've read somewhere that #1 gets 50% of the traffic, while #10 gets 2-3%

Actually I have a page on 10th place and that's what it gets.

But it must depend on title and snippet too... while most people will just click on top result, some will scan thru the page to see what catches their attention most. Some will click on a few pages...
