For those SEOers out there who're top notch pros, does SEO sometimes change too much to handle? And at times, do you have to relearn certain things? I haven't dealt with this yet, but I believe a big change is coming to SEO in the near future that could hurt sites. I just don't know when.
I know SEO is supposed to change as well, but does it change too much sometimes?
I don't really think that the basics of SEO have changed. Google has just gotten better at identifying sites that are not adhering to the basics and are attempting to game the system.
SEO is an ongoing process and is done to get the better results from search engines. Search engines such as Google continue to change their algos to show sites with better content in the search results and this is why SEO strategies also change to work with changing algos of search engines to secure place in top search results with high traffic keywords.
I learned in the last month to be more patient. :P
most seo technique doesn't change as much as google algoritm :p

It depends! You need to wait until Gooble bots crawl your site again. Could take up to 10 days from my experience
Basic seo factor same, But we need to think different in google point of view. It is expecting us to do reasearch in website.
SEO changes a bit here and there, but it's not that often. Google is the one that changes so much that people have to change their ways to just stay in the groove of things. SEO does change, but it doesn't change in such a way where people would need to re-invent the way they do things.
May the new changes come, new effects like panda and penguin, new penalties may come.
but fundamentals are must. We should strictly follow fundamentals.

When your are doing Search Engine Optimization you should have some patience because you have to face many ups and downs . I am sure if you work hard for two years your website rank will be in the first page and it will in top five place . Hard work never fails so work hard for a better result .
i think, the basics are the same since long; just stick to the basic things and do quality link building slowly.
Most of the strategies have just remind the same but the way of doing them has changed dramatically with the evolution of updates in spam fighting by search engines, that is anything spam, bulk, low quality will get punished leaving the website in a NO MENS LAND.
It all depends on the way you are doing seo for your website. The basics are remain same. Only the algorithms have been changed and the use of keywords and location tool are the advanced terms which have been added in SEO.
