Blog comments are usually no-follow links where you can hardly expect any clicks. Guest blogging or guest posting has become another strategy which is under Google's radar. Lots of sites including MyGuestBlog have been penalized by Google although they themselves were not doing guest blogging, but helped people create network and find others interested in guest blogging.
I won't say guest blogging is completely bad, but if you can guest blog on some reputed sites then you are safe. Else too many guest blogging with poor sites can make you penalize.
i think is not better for increase backlinks. i have use forum posting, directories submission and web blog 2.0 for create backlinks.
