What is the SEM? what is difference between SEM and SMM?

What I understand is SEM- Search Engine Marketing is concerned with traffic from search engines whereas SMM- Social Media Marketing is traffic from social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
Although these have become very general terms, now SEO is not strictly working for search engines, but there is always some social media marketing involved if one has to properly optimize and generate good traffic.

SEM involves to doing all activities related to search engines, including SEO and also of paid search.

SMM involves to doing all activities like optimizing social media campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

SEM stands for Search engine marketing . This is used for improving sites by improving their visibility in online look for engine outcome web page. SMM stands for Social media marketing.
