    BitCoin ?

Do you know what really is this P2P digital currency ? Value of a BitCoin was $17 in January and now it seems $70 ! Says it even went upto $150 something per Coin, even more and then started decreasing.

    Anyone using it ?

Bit coin is also more risky than say Paypal. Higher chance of fraud or being closed down by the authorities. Other P2P currency reserves have been closed down. These often attract the more illegal activities on the net - drugs, guns, **** and so can become a target.

Bit coin has been around for a while but should always be considered higher risk than paypal/banks. Just be sensible if you plan to use it and dont leave all your money tied up in it. If you cant afford to lose 100% of what is in it then you have too much.

Yeah as Mallot said be careful with it. All these new currencies and payment methods are risky but handy if you need an paypal alternative. Think it started with WordPay and WesternUnion but many more independent ones now. Stripe is probably the best (safest) paypal alternative. Stick with the streams and rivers you know mate.

Without any shame, I've haven't clearly understood the concept of BitCoin. Anyone bother explaining it in dummy language?

I hear Paypal bought out Xoom. I expect they have their eyes on some of these now too.

JustGoWithIt its just a currency with super high encryption that isn't yet regulated by anyone like the US Government regulates US tender which is always taxable. Get it?

There is nothing to be shame of,many don't understand it while in same time publish opinions like they are experts....bitcoin doesn't exist as something physical,it is digital currency ,public key is used as address (like your bank account number) where everyone can send you money/coins,private key is only used to authorize Bitcoin transactions.
P2P means it is decentralized and everyone in P2P network own governing computing power(known as miners),it is nothing like paypal, stripe or anyother payment processor, because bitcoin is not processor it is currency ,it is different from money because bitcoin value is not measured and guaranteed by shares+gold+Gross national income...etc+there is no central institution as regulator.

So in 2013, bitcoin was traded at around $100. Now the value is more than $15K. I guess all of the members missed a jackpot there .

    Now around 20k
I must admit I was not paying much attention to it, although I was liking the concept.
This year a friend of mine invested great amount of money into it and was pushing me to do it as well, but I missed some entry price at 4k so I didn't. Needless to say he earned big chunk of $ the other day when he sold his BCs.

Did he sell because he thinks the current price is a bubble that may burst or was he just profit taking?

He was about 4 x in profit on his initial investment, so he sold because of that and the fact that he would like to buy a home for his family and now he will not need a loan.
Considering bubble, it is on everyone's mind, but more as a correction of the price, I think everyone is waiting for that big pullback, that was also on his mind as well when he decided to sold it, but not as main factor.

Hello Guys, how are you? I am happy to read some Post from some old guys I still know.
I am working in a SEO Agency now as a Online Marketer but I changed from SEO to influence marketing (over Blogs, Facebook and Instagram).

I only want to say that I am be so lucky because I bought very long time ago 1 Bitcoin for $250, I was planning to buy something illegal in the darknet, but I forgot to buy it... and the Bitcoin now is still in my Blockchain Wallet.
But I really telling you guys... since the bitcoin have a big value I cannot sleep anymore because I am always scared that the bitcoin will loosing value overnight.
I swear! You guys will going crazy if you own some bitcoins and checking the Charts everyday, every minute...
now the Bitcoin falls down a little bit, but I still cannot sell the bitcoin, because I feel that it will going over 50k.

The owner from MC Afee (anti virus) said in a interview, he is sure that the bitcoin will going to have a 1.000.000 Dollar Value one day...
