Who owns the articles?

I had a bulk of articles written for a certain client. I didn't hear anything from him after submitting the articles (via email) and of course, I wasn't paid. I saw that my articles were posted in his site. What is the smartest way for me to do? For me, I still own those articles because I wasn't given a single dime for it. What do you think?

Find out his hosting and domain registar and send them email tha these are your articles and that you request that he remove them.
I'm always doing when somone is copying my website content and content is removed in day or two.

You wrote them - you own them! If the client buys them and the authorship then he can post them anywhere he wants. Like Nemanja says, contact the web site owner first and if you are not paid for the articles and they are not removed contact the web host and the domain registrar.

I am also in similar situation like this and searching for expert opinion or the solution to solve my case. Then i cam across this forum and applied for the membership and soon got it. Now I am very satisfied as i have got what i am looking for.Thanks guys.
