Setting up a affliate-web, day by day

    Howdy everyone!

Short story: Been interested in web-design for ten years (on and off). A while ago I started to look around for ways to make money online and recently decided to use affliate-systems to sell others products.

I have done some reading on the topic and after a few e-books, a lot of free articles and some forum-discssions I decided to go with creating affliate-webs. Websites which pure intent is to sell products.

I decided to start this thread so that I could share my experiences with others. Since it is my first website of this kind people who are interested in this type of stuff can look here to see how it proceeds.

    So lets get going:

The last book I read was called Affliate Web 2.0. The book had a section about selecting key-words and tells you to look for keywords with at least 600 monthly views and less than 50.000 hits when you google it inside brackets.

I found a keyword with did not exactly match these criterias, but I figured I would give it a go. Some stats about it:

    Monthy searches: 9 900
    Hits " ": 88 800
    In title: 21 500
    Url: 17 200

    - None of the top-10 results when searched for inside " " has the keyword in the URL
    - .org domain was free, .com and .net are owned by people who trade domains.

    So, my goals:
    - #1 on Google when you search the keyword
    - At least four sales a month

The idea here is to create a blog using WordPress (As it is supposed to be great for SEO) where I will review products in my niche. Good product will be linked to using affliate-links.

Everything will be shared here so you can follow and help me out on the project.

    ---
    Current status:

    - .org domain is registerd
    - Site has been submitted using the backlink-tool here

Next step: Install WordPress and create some content

After that: I will try to make three relevant articles which I can share on different article directories.
    --

    Wish me luck

If all that is on the domain at the present is a parking page I suspect that you have the cart before the horse. The primary value to the submission tools is to get the site indexed quickly. If search spiders go to the url and find only a parking page it may be some time before they return. I would say to get some niche related content up on the site as quickly as possible.

If you are using WordPress it would be best to get your WP install up and some content even if you use the default theme. Get the Google site maps and All-in-One SEO plug-ins installed when the blog software is installed.

The sitesell mantra is C->T->P->M: Content, Traffic, Pre-sell, Monetize. It always starts with content. If you are interested in more information about the sitesell program please visit via my affiliate link to Site Build It Video found in the left nav column on my beforeyoubuyawebsite.com site.

    Thank you for te reply.

From my understanding, the backlinks don't work immideatly. I used the tool about six hours ago so I figured I had the whole night in front of me to get some content up.

I do have some old text I could rewrite and throw up in an hour or so, a few keyword rich blogposts should not be hard either since the first ones will be written to present the site and myself.

As my keyword is a question that doesnt make a correct sentence ( Example: How to win game" I assume I should mention the sitename rather than build sentences that doesnt make sence.

Does it matter if I write:

    Keyword.org

    or

    Keyword dot org?

    Thanks for the input.

    Kind regards

If you review the forum "Rules" you will find when you can post a complete url, until the use the Keyword dot org format.

The trick is to get 'Authority' Backlinks for your website.
A new link building system has just been launched and I'm in!

In my opinion, the uniqueness of this system are two folds:

    1) Every article you submit is distributed to hundreds of sites.

    - Most other services only distribute to a handful, which means more articles need to be prepared.

    2) It builds backlinks to the webpages where your articles are published!

    - They call it Dual-linking system. It is an ingenious concept!

    - What it means is the backlinks that you receive from this system carry more weight and authority, which will boost your search engine ranking further.

The system really works and you can give it5 a try with the affiliate link in my signature - the Linkbuilding System link.

That is true, but your first concern should be to have quality content on the site, then do your site promotion.

As my keyword is a question that doesnt make a correct sentence ( Example: How to win game" I assume I should mention the sitename rather than build sentences that doesnt make sence.
You have two audiences for which you produce your pages. The first is your human visitors. Your pages need to be well written without typos, misspellings, and with good grammar. They need to contain useful content that answers the questions that they may have. It is more important for your pages to read naturally than to stuff keywords into your content.

The second audience is the search bots. You need the on-page SEO for the bots. This includes the page title, the page description meta tag, the headings, and the keywords in the content. You do need to do this with your human visitor in mind, so it must make sense.

All of the major article sites have authors' help sections. They discuss titles among other writing hints. These hints apply to the writing of the content for you site. In your example you might use: How to win a game of 'your keyword' or 'your keyword' - how to win

The program that I mentioned above is geared toward niche content sites. It recommends 20 - 30 pages of content on the site before you start your site promotion as I recall.

I have found that Google requires 4-5 pages (minimum) of content related to the site theme the before they will consider the page as a "relevant" page for their result to searches. There does not seem to be a maximum number of pages (keep the content related though) I have one site with over 100 pages of related content. Also, continuing to add articles related to your keyword topic keeps the content fresh, a Google plus.
